We are seeking scalable and commercially viable innovations that advance the sustainable blue economy, improving the efficiency and sustainability of ocean-based industries while strengthening the health and resilience of marine and coastal ecosystems.
Examples of such solutions include, but not limited to:
- Maritime & Energy
Deploy scalable technologies to improve the efficiency, electrification, automation and energy performance of vessels, ports, maritime logistics and coastal energy systems.
Examples: vessel electrification, port automation, coastal energy systems
- Materials & Circularity
Replace ocean-bound plastics and valorise marine waste streams by scaling bio-materials, circular recovery networks, and high-value marine by-product utilisation.
Examples: bio-materials, waste recovery, circular recycling systems, by-product valorisation
- Blue Food & Water
Enhance the productivity, health and climate resilience of aquatic food systems, while optimising coastal water treatment and quality management.
Examples: sustainable aquaculture, blue food biotechnology, water treatment
- Ocean Data & Intelligence
Leverage advanced ocean observation, monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) platforms, and traceability infrastrucutre to make marine operational, environmental and compliance outcomes measurable, verifiable and financeable.
Examples: ocean observation, blue carbon MRV, traceability infrastructure.
The top three solutions will win S$1 Million each in grant funding.
Select high-potential ocean ventures under the Oceans track may also qualify for an equity investment of up to S$500,000 from the Asia Ocean Fund (AOF), subject to AOF's due diligence, Investment Committee's review and definitive agreements.
